A Bumpy Road So Far
by Joshua Aronson
Two games into a six-game road trip, Ricky and the Heat aren't having any fun.
After being trounced by the Denver Nuggets on Sunday, 115-89, Miami's woes continued Monday in a 110-101 loss to the Utah Jazz.
Yesterday's defeat was not without promising moments -- the Heat shot an impressive 53.3% from the field, and the game was tight deep into the fourth quarter. No. 31, who scored 15 points on six-of-12 shots, delivered at the free throw line late to keep Miami (4-13) in contention. From the AP:
Ricky Davis made two free throws to cut Utah's lead to 94-92 with 3:44 to play, but the Jazz went on a 9-2 run to clinch the game.
DENVER DISASTER
A day earlier, Miami got blasted by the Nuggets in Denver, and Ricky struggled, scoring 11 points on three-of-11 shooting. Dwyane Wade summed the night up best:
"We are in a funk,'' Wade said. "Everything goes wrong when you're where we are.''
